DEAD END CLAMP (DEC) assembly is designed for supporting Insulated Aerial Bundle Cable (ABC) of the LV distribution system at terminal section and at acute angle poles. The whole assembly has no loose parts and it does not require special tool to install.
DEC is a conical wedges clamp comprising of:
- An open body
- An inner sheath consisting two insulating plastics (inserts) ensuring the clamping of the messenger cable without damaging cable insulation
- An unloosable stainless steel flexible wire rope equipped with movable thimble and two sleeves compressed at the end of the wire rope to be locked at the clamp body
